POUS ROUMAN - Testimonials

We never thought one house could satisfy six women, but POUS ROUMAN did just that! From the moment we drove through the gate, the property did not disappoint. This well-appointed, comfortable & beautifully decorated house exceeded all expectations. It’s even lovelier than depicted in the photos.

The house has plenty of space for a group to spread out. The kitchen was well-equipped and the appliances were modern and efficient. Bedrooms were lovely with comfortable bedding and lots of closet space.

The grounds were absolutely stunning, well-maintained and private. It was truly a delight to tour Provence during the day knowing that our group could relax around the pool and dine al fresco following a full day of activity.

The town of L’Isle-Sur-la-Sorgue is beautiful and full of great shops, antiques and restaurants. And it was the perfect home base for a trip exploring the Luberon region.

Pous Rouman certainly deserves its 5-star rating!

"My family and I spent two weeks at the charming villa of POUS ROUMAN. What a pleasant surprise at many levels. First, the accommodation is really top notch in terms of comfort, amenities and location. It felt like being in a five star boutique hotel, with much more space, your own designer swimming pool, a/c rooms, a wonderful terrace to wine & dine, a garden, etc. The villa is located very near L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, a lively and charming town surrounded by the river Sorgue and full of antique shops, restaurants and grocery stores. In fact, I tasted the best baguette I probably ever had (Convert bakery). The canal of Carpentras is just next to the house, which is great for walking, hiking and cycling. The aqueduct of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse is an hour’s walk away. Secondly, POUS ROUMAN is in a wonderful region, very close to many worthwhile things to visit, ranging from the city of Avignon to the town of Gordes, the Mont Ventoux and many wineries offering an excellent selection of quality wines. There is so much to visit and taste…"

We are home after a memorable month in Europe... We loved our stay at Pous Rouman. I will write glowing reviews on TripAdvisor and Google... Thank you so much for your expert advice on restaurants and vineyards. We didn’t have time to visit any of the vineyards that you mentioned. The restaurant recommendations were great. We loved Haut Perché and Agastache – both for lunch. We never went out for dinner, preferring to relax by the pool and enjoy produce purchased at local markets and local wines. Other memorable lunches were at L’Oustau de Baumaniere in Les Baux, where C. and P. had dined on a previous trip, and Le Café de la Fontaine at Le Phebus in Joucas, just east of Gordes, on the recommendation of our son who stayed there last month. As you probably know, they are both Relais & Chateaux properties.
